Pico De Gallo
A perfect authentic Mexican recipe best served during Cinco de Mayo. Pico de Gallo is a favorite Mexican dish that brings out the natural spices of jalapenos, tomatoes and onions; best served with tortilla chips and tacos. This recipe yields 3- 4 servings.
Ingredients
- 1/2 fresh jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 1 green onion, finely chopped
- 2 sprigs fresh cilantro, finely chopped
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Directions
- First, combine tomato, onion, jalapeno pepper (to taste,) cilantro and green onion in a medium bowl.
- And then, season with garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Stir until evenly distributed
- Lastly,refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Mexican Pico de Gallo is ready to serve!
