Pico De Gallo

A perfect authentic Mexican recipe best served during Cinco de Mayo. Pico de Gallo is a favorite Mexican dish that brings out the natural spices of jalapenos, tomatoes and onions; best served with tortilla chips and tacos. This recipe yields 3- 4 servings.

Pico de Gallo

Ingredients

  • 1/2 fresh jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped
  • 2 sprigs fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. First, combine tomato, onion, jalapeno pepper (to taste,) cilantro and green onion in a medium bowl.
  2. And then, season with garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  3. Stir until evenly distributed
  4. Lastly,refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. Mexican Pico de Gallo is ready to serve!
